OneRiot – Twitter Search Turbo Charger

So what’s the big deal? Imagine having the utility of Twitter Search, but with Digg content mixed in. Then, think about mentions being grouped around URLs so that all mentions related to the same topic are counted, sorted, and packaged for viewing. Finally, throw in the ability to search more than just words and explore the buzz from your website or blog post.

The new real-time search from OneRiot does just that. For example, your searches will return aggregated tweets and diggs around links and group them. You can then click to expand the total shared count, cycle through diggs and tweets, see who first shared the link, and digg or tweet the link yourself. Plus, since OneRiot filters for spam and duplicate links, you can trust that you’re getting an accurate representation of your keyword, website, or URL search.

With today’s improvements I’m hard-pressed to think of another social search service that can compete at the same level. Tweetmeme, albeit slightly different in purpose, is beefing up its offering and has managed to establish itself as a leader in the aggregated Twitter links space, so we’re likely to see both of these services continue to iterate and battle for your attention.
